A 32-foot by 60-foot outdoor ice rink is set up by the City of Kenosha at Veterans Memorial Park during the winter months for ice skating.

Seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. – weather permitting.
Hours may vary for holidays.
Cost:
Free

Free Ice Skate Rentals:
Ice skates are available – on a first-come-first-served basis – at the Skate Hut outside the ice rink during rental hours. Regular rental hours are: 4 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. Hours may vary for holidays. Child and adult sizes are available for check-out by dropping off a photo ID, such as a valid driver’s license or a valid school-issued ID.
Extreme Cold Weather Conditions:
The Department of Parks closes the ice rink skate hut during extreme cold weather conditions. The skate hut will be closed when the wind chill is below zero degrees. THE RINK IS EXPECTED TO STAY OPEN AT THESE TIMES FOR THOSE THAT BRING THEIR OWN SKATES. THERE WILL BE NO ICE SKATE RENTALS.
Citizens are reminded to dress warmly and take necessary precautions when engaging in outdoor activities during cold weather. People are encouraged to stay informed about weather conditions and any potential closures by checking the newsroom page on the City’s web site, and on social media channels.
Not Allowed:
No hockey pucks or sticks are allowed on the ice rink. No street shoes or pets are allowed on the ice. Food and beverages also are not allowed on the ice rink.
Please note: it is never safe to ice skate in the Lake Michigan harbor downtown. Even during very cold weather, ice can crack. According to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, there is no such thing as 100 percent safe ice on open bodies of water. People are not able to determine the strength of ice by factors including its appearance, age, thickness, temperature or whether the ice is covered with snow. Ice strength is based on a combination of several factors, and they can vary from water body to water body. Ice strength can also vary in different areas of the same body of water.
