Santa Claus in Kenosha, WI

Christmas is right around the corner and that can mean only one thing…Santa Claus is coming to town! I don’t know about you, but even at my age, I still get a little excited seeing him in his fur-trimmed hat and coat, with his rosy red cheeks, and gleaming eyes. Now that I am a mom, it is really special to see my little one look in amazement at him. Thankfully Old Kris Kringle will be making several stops in Kenosha - so make sure to mark these dates on your calendar so you don’t miss your chance to let him know what you want for Christmas!

The beautiful Rhode Center for the Arts will be hosting Santa on Wednesday nights in December from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday afternoons from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. Bring your camera to capture the special moments during these FREE visits sponsored by the Downtown Kenosha, Inc., Kenosha Creative Space, and the Lakeside Players at the Rhode Center for the Arts. Kids can also enjoy fun holiday activities and coloring while at the Rhode, too!

Who wouldn’t want to have breakfast with Santa? Make your way out to the Wruck Pavilion at Lake Andrea on Saturday, December 9th from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.  At this fun-filled family event there will be Christmas music, singing, coloring, great food, and the chance to have your picture taken with THE MAN in red.

On Saturday, December 16th Santa will be making his way to the RecPlex for their Holiday Ice Show at the Ice Arena. Watch the skaters in their colorful, bright outfits skating to holiday music. FREE open skating (skate fees applies) will take place from 1:00 - 3:50 p.m. and Santa will make his grand appearance at 2:30 p.m.

Finally, you can hit the slopes with Jolly St. Nick and his elves on Sunday, December 17th at Wilmot Mountain. Wax up those skis and join in the fun from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. The whole family can enjoy s’mores by the fire and stop into Walt’s Tavern for lunch and drinks to warm you up.

It is a well-known fact that Santa LOVES the Kenosha area and that he is looking forward to seeing you at one or all of these wonderful family-friendly events and make sure he puts you on the nice list this year! Happy Holidays!
