Calling all museum lovers and foodies! If you enjoy the history that Kenosha has to offer, along with great food and drinks, then the 7th Annual Museum Crawl is the event for you! The 21 and older, casual event is an opportunity for patrons to enjoy the City of Kenosha’s three museums, as well as sample food and drinks from local vendors.

The event will begin in the backyard of the Dinosaur Discovery Museum (weather permitting), where event-goers can enjoy food samples from Franks Diner, Trolley Dogs and Elsie Mae’s Bakery and Cannery, along with beer from Public Craft Brewing Co. After a ride on the Electric Streetcar, Crawlers will reach the second stop of the night at the Civil War Museum, which will be sampling food from Mangia Wine Bar, Twisted Cuisine, Robin’s Nest Cakery and beer from Rustic Road Brewing Co. The event will end at the Kenosha Public Museum with food samples from Captain Mike’s Beer & Burger Bar, Mike’s Sportsbook & Meat Bar, Mike’s Donuts & Chicken and beer from CJW Distributors. Wine will also be served at all three locations.

Not only is this event an opportunity to sample local foods, but it is also an event for adults to enjoy the museums, too! All of the exhibits at each of the museums will be open, including the impressive collection of meat-eating theropods at the Dinosaur Discovery Museum (the largest collection of it’s kind in the U.S.), a ten-minute 360-degree movie “Seeing the Elephant” at the Civil War Museum (one of only three 360-degree films in the United States), and two art exhibits on display for the summer at the Kenosha Public Museum (including the Transparent Watercolor Society of America’s juried show!). For those who are kids at heart, the Dinosaur Discovery Museum will have their Dino Dig activity open for participants. That’s right – you, too, can dig for fossils. The Civil War Museum will be bringing back a horse shoes game where event-goers can throw foam horse shoes off the second story balcony! And the Kenosha Public Museum will be featuring a new Owl Pellet Bingo game for those who do not get grossed out easily! Each of the three locations will also have live music, photo opportunities, a raffle and other entertaining activities. This really is a unique way to explore the museums and their collections.

Guests who attend the event can park in the parking lot of the Kenosha Public Museum and check-in in the lobby. A streetcar ride, which is included in the ticket price, will take guests to the Dinosaur Discovery Museum for their first stop of the night. The ride back to the Civil War Museum is also included. Guests can walk to the Kenosha Public Museum for the final stop – bringing them full circle back to their vehicles.

Tickets are $40 each, or $35 for Friends of the Museum members. The price includes the food and drink samples, access to all of the museums and all of the activities. Tickets can be purchased at www.KenoshaPublicMuseum.org or by calling 262-653-4140. The event sells out fast so be sure to purchase your tickets early!
