The Kenosha Area is a great place to get outdoors no matter the season. But when the snow starts to fly, we roll out the white carpet with all kinds of winter fun! Enjoy snow crested hills for snowboarding, skiing and tubing, miles of trails groomed for fat tire biking, and nature areas perfect for snowshoeing and frosty hikes.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

❄ Downhill skiing, snowboarding and tubing at Wilmot Mountain

❄ Fat tire biking on Silver Lake Park’s 10-mile trail system

❄ Snowshoeing and hiking at places such as Bristol Woods Park and Silver Lake Park (you can even rent snowshoes at Bristol Woods Park’s Pringle Nature Center)

❄ Cross Country skiing, including at Petrifying Springs Park, Silver Lake Park and Richard Bong State Recreation Area

❄ Ice fishing on one of many inland lakes

❄ Ice skating at Veterans Memorial Park

❄ Snowmobiling on designated trails throughout Kenosha County (find where to purchase a Kenosha County Snowmobile Trail Map here)

❄ Sledding at local parks

Here’s a helpful tip: You can use the Snow Report at to learn about local cross-country skiing, snowmobile, and downhill skiing & snowboarding trail conditions.
