Transparent Watercolor Society of America 42nd Annual National Juried Exhibition

The Transparent Watercolor Society of America displays 80 paintings from some of the nation's top transparent watercolor artists in this popular annual show. The wide range of themes includes abstracts, portraits, landscapes, city scenes and more, all using the transparent watercolor painting method. 

TWSA is a national organization devoted to advancing the stature of transparent watercolor as a major expression and to foster its appreciation. According to its website, “TWSA Prospectus Guidelines for all submissions state: Transparent watercolor applied in a transparent manner on a single sheet of 100% rag or cotton paper which is free of pigment and/or embedded materials.” The use of white paint is unacceptable. Gallery Talk: Sunday, May 13, at 2 p.m. Donna Jill Witty, TWSA Master, AWS, NWS, will walk visitors through the gallery to talk about special techniques and point out special aspects of the paintings.

General admission to the museum and exhibit is free.
